COVID-19 Grant for Small Brick and Mortar Businesses
ELIGIBLE BUSINESSES
To help the owners of locally-owned, non-franchise, for-profit, brick and mortar businesses with 10 and fewer employees. (Not open to businesses outside Town limits or businesses that received funds in Phase 1.)
PROGRAM PURPOSE
To support the small-business community that has been significantly impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic, other than retail and restaurant sectors, which were included in Phase 1 of the Program.
CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY
Length of time in Business: Must have been in business for 6 months before March 1, 2020.
Significant Impact: 50% reduction in sales.
Eligibility: Businesses must be located in the Town of Bedford.
Only the owner of the “brick and mortar” business may apply. If an owner has more than one business, they may only apply for one business. If there is more than one owner of any one business, there will be only one grant to that business.
“Small business” will be defined as 10 or fewer employees, whether full-time or part-time equivalents.
USES FOR FUNDS
Rent or mortgage payments for March, April, May, June or July 2020
Utilities (electric, water/sewer, internet) for March, April, May, June or July 2020
Inventory - Inventory needed to re-start a business
Marketing - Advertising efforts to promote business re-start or to implement online sales presence.
